About Us

At Curtis Home Inspections, we also know a thorough home inspection depends primarily upon the Inspector and their own effort. Curtis Home Inspections maintains certified, licensed, and fully insured home inspectors with experience you can count on. Serving the client with absolute integrity, we will go the extra mile – walking on roofs, climbing in attics, crawling through crawlspaces, and inspecting all major systems and components from the roof to the foundation. With a solid reputation to uphold, we diligently work to assess and uncover the condition of your property. Be confident in your purchase by choosing an Inspector you can trust.

Per InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice, a general Home Inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the assessible areas of a residential property. That’s why you will find that Curtis Home Inspections also relies on the latest, greatest technology. Utilizing tools such as a moisture meter, a laser digital inferred thermometer, and a Walabot imaging device, we do our best to supersede the state requirements, attempting to detect what otherwise may go unseen. We even fly a drone for aerial observations! Our Inspectors have the tools and knowledge to discover any deficiencies you need to know. In addition, our Inspectors are engaged in continuous education to keep up with national and local trends, codes, and construction methods.

Lastly, our prices are competitive. We believe in outstanding service at a fair price. To request an Inspection, click the GET QUOTE/SCHEDULE NOW tab or call/text (502)428-9629.

Chris Curtis

Licensed Home Inspector, Kentucky and Indiana

Meet Chris Curtis, the founder of Curtis Home Inspections. As the owner, his success depends on client satisfaction. That’s why he is committed to service that exceeds expectation. He is a tech savvy Inspector with an eye for detail. Using the latest technology to uncover the details of your home, his reports are accurate and thorough. Chris is a lifelong resident of Kentucky, only leaving for a short while to attend Milligan College in Tennessee where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1998. Having spent 17 years in ministry, his passion for people makes him an excellent communicator. Chris is incredibly patient and takes the extra time to explain the report and answer client questions when needed. He is a witty, funny, easy going guy who loves hanging out with his wife and kids.

Licensed Home Inspector, Kentucky

Doug loves being a licensed Home Inspector. He is a meticulous person and combs over a house with such detail that he certainly rivals Chris, the owner. He has five years experience in home general construction and maintenance. He goes above and beyond not only in his job, but at home as well. I think Doug would say that he is first and foremost a husband and father. His priority is his beautiful wife Brittany, whom he married in 2007, and their five children. Operating such a big family, Doug knows what a huge financial decision a home purchase can be. He cares about the client and wants them to make a good purchase. Doug is also a military man, so you can expect an honest opinion and upfront recommendations. He served our country for three years in the National Guard as a diesel mechanic, probably why he also enjoys working on cars in his spare time. He also enjoys camping with his family and gardening. We are excited to have Doug on our team.

Kirk Brooks

Licensed Home Inspector, Kentucky

Kirk Brooks brings a wealth of education to the Curtis Home Inspections team. He spent the first half of his career in universities studying writing, education, and education leadership. He eventually became a middle school principal and after a few successful and fun years he decided that the demands of that career were requiring more from his family than he was willing to sacrifice. Kirk returned to school to acquire his Inspection license and has been with us ever since. Kirk largely focuses his work in our Northern Kentucky region where he lives and farms with his sweet wife Meghan and their four beautiful children. He loves being self employed with Curtis Home Inspections and that he gets to work with a hardworking team made up of some of his closest friends. Kirk loves to be outside, and he’s still a writer in his spare time. He loves his rural community where he does the majority of his inspections and says that his favorite part about being an inspector is the time he gets to spend talking to the clients and helping them find that perfect home. When Kirk isn’t inspecting houses, he’s taking care of his sheep, or going on an adventure with his family.

Radon Specialist, Kentucky, Indiana

Following his high school graduation in May 2019, Isaac decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a Home Inspector. He has already completed the pre-licensing course and is currently studying for the licensure exam (delayed because of covid-19). So in the mean time, he has been shadowing his father and learning from the best. He already is the company's certified Radon Technician and works hard to provide the clients with fast and accurate Radon reports. In addition, Isaac is a talented young artist currently working on a marketing comic for Curtis Home Inspections called Adventures in Home Inspecting. He's also an exceptional self-taught pianist. In his spare time, Isaac enjoys camping, playing video games, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends.

Operations Manager

Diane is Chris’s wife and co-owner of Curtis Home Inspections. As the Operations Manager, she works diligently behind the scenes to schedule home inspection appointments for all our Inspectors and other ancillary services, communicating with both the client and the Realtors. She also handles some marketing and financial aspects of Curtis Home Inspections. She and Chris were high school sweethearts and have been married 23 years. She is a devoted wife and mother of five. She loves spending time with her hubby and family. Her hobbies include swimming and playing the piano.

Marketing Support

Avery is our beautiful brown-eyed girl. As a very tech savvy teenager, she provides marketing support for Curtis Home Inspections through photography and videography. Avery is a vital part of the team as she furnishes the website with photos and edits the marketing videos and ads uploaded to the website, facebook, and other social media platforms. She can always be counted on for help as she is organized and independent. She is an early riser, and loves to drink coffee on the porch with her mom. Also a talented young lady who loves music, she often spends her days playing her instruments - ukelele, guitar, and the drums. Like most teenagers she loves hanging with her friends too.
